NY Jets and City thinking sustainable

Glad to see the state of New York is in the process of approving to put up a fine facility like this and use wholistic design methodologies to build it. It sure is going to be impressive looking

This will really be a state of the art facility. They plan to produce all of the power for the stadium through renewable energy sources with solar collector tubes, PV (Photovoltaics - Solar Panels), and wind turbines. What a showcase for renewable energy! They also are going to utilize something that more american architects should pay attention to......rainwater catchment systems. I won't go into an idealogical rant about wasting freshwater, and freshwater runnoff rates compared to groundwater surpluses, but trust me this is a good thing and will be essential in the future. Anyway, word is that it will get approved before the end of the year. I can't wait to see it, and peoples reactions to the way it is going to be built!
